Hawthorne
Rethinking self-care through personalization and turning everyday routines into something more intentional, Hawthorne builds a world around personal ritual—balancing elevated products with a playful, .

As an in-house designer and photographer during Hawthorne’s early years, my combined role explored what self-care could feel and look like through image, video, and design.
Photography was central to defining how Hawthorne showed up by focusing on intimate, macro perspectives and tactile, close up product compositions. This sensibility extended into the already established handmade line quality that solidified the illustration style.
By evolving these visual cues, design and photography at Hawthorne evoked feelings of curiosity, personal, and distinctly human. These feelings paralleled the process of discovery that every customer goes through, curating personal care unique to you.
